From today's New York Daily News:

"The fabled Stage Deli, famous for dubbing sandwiches after celebs, is returning to its roots.

I'm gonna go with a spicy chicken sandwich with a pickle on the side and a Clark bar for dessert. I had one the other day!

Bump it with a trumpet!

LOL How about a chicken Parmigiana sandwhich that actually has mozzerella cheese and not American cheese. Anyone remember when she wason Regis that time and was describing this Aweful chicken parm dinner she got from room service because it was just a chicken cutlet with american cheese on it.

Hmmm, whatever it would be it should be healthy. And I like Moljul's suggestion about the "Curly Hair" fries.

Don't forget a beverage! Maybe they'll sell half a can of Guiness; just the way she likes it! Ha!

I never got that impression. I actually thought, from what I've read, that her dad wasn't around much, which I think is sad......but correct me if I'm wrong.

I have no idea for a sandwich but I just wanted you all to know that you're making me hungry. Hehe. I agree that her sandwich should come with curly fries.

I'm relatively new to following BP's career. What's the story about this? Sounds
like it might be interesting.

Wait, wasn't it Heinekin? That was from a brief interview in Good Housekeeping a couple of years ago. I think one of her favorite meals was pasta with marinara sauce accompanied by a half-bottle of Heinekin, because that was her late father's favorite, and it was sort of a nostalgia thing for Bernadette.

Actually Karen, it was half a CAN! LOL I think half a bottle might have been too much for her.

Okay-this is getting off-topic but....

Whenever she's spoken about him-which is rare-it's always lovingly.

Remember his job required him to keep odd hours.

Topic? It can't be red meat!

Totally agree with you Jen. That's what I find sad. That his work kept him away from family. However, I guess it's off topic.

Topic-definately no red meat! Has to be some kind of a vegetarian wrap! AND the curly fries!

You either got it, or you aint!

Well it just goes to show you that I'm not a beer drinker. I thought beer bottles had more ounces than beer cans. Kind of like soft drink bottles. Well, I guess you live and learn everyday.

Not to beat the off-topic to death but I never thought that someone who works nights (which is I believe what she said) is necessarily not around a lot. I mean they were probably sleeping when he was working and at school when he was sleeping. But it kind of sounds like the type of dad who might have been able to make it to after-school programs and such unlike a lot of other dad's - particularly dad's in the time when Bernadette was a child.

Just my thoughts, not arguing with anyone or anything.
